CUTS International, Accra in partnership with National Road Safety Authority – NRSA, Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) held a capacity building workshop for Journalists on Road safety reporting.
- accurately interpret and analyze road safety statistics for impactful reporting and;
- get insights into best practices in road safety journalism, including ethical considerations, stories framing and balanced reporting and;
- advocate for road safety measures to influence policy and;
- rally their support for policy reforms and behavioral change on the risk factors (drink-driving, speeding, helmet and seat belt, child restraint system)

The workshop, which took place in Accra sought to, among others, further equip journalists with the skills and knowledge in road safety reporting to:
30 Road Safety Journalists participated in the training. CSOs platform and other partners were also present during the workshop.
